Biosphere XI - Blue 52
Let us imagine a song that finds no ear. A voice cast into the void, repeating itself year after year. In this gesture of insistence lies the fate of the 52 Blue whale: a song that crosses the oceans and never returns. Is this not also the condition of being human? We sing, we write, we shout, we plead; and rarely does anyone answer. We are bodies traversed by frequencies that do not fit within the register of others. Art, then, is born from this impossibility: we sing so that silence may be less unbearable. “Listening is the event of a body in the world.” This concert is not an attempt at an answer; it is an act of listening: a marine mirror in which solitude becomes communion, if only for moments. Listen. I am speaking to you. Can you hear the song? Or is it already too late for your ear, exhausted by noise?
